Will Rockstar Show At E3?

Why would they show Ballad of Gay Tony at E3? They only just recently announced it and it is quite the choice of a title to compliment what we are already accustomed to in their marketing. Rockstar Games is already known for being somewhat mysterious about their upcoming projects. They will definitely make you wait a while before you see what this one is all about.

Will Rockstar show anything at E3? I can’t turn up anything right now but I think we’ll see the first Max Payne 3 footage, if not a demonstration of it (be it only for the press or otherwise). I just don’t see them passing up the chance to show off any new innovations to the series at E3. If not, Red Dead Redemption is probably due for some form of reveal as well. I think that if we see anything from them, it will be those titles.

I am wondering if Sony and Rockstar will have any special announcements, they are working on aPS3 exclusive together. So far, everything I can find about Rockstar+E3 is that they will be there, but won’t be showing anything new. If that is true, then I assume this means they will be there promoting the Social Club and reinforcing the titles that already support their social platform.

At any rate, we’re about a week from E3 ‘09 and I’m ready for that new media now. I definitely do not have my hopes up for anything about Ballad of Gay Tony, but I do hope Rockstar takes this social club thing of theirs  a little further at E3 this year. Though we might not see what the Tony Prince story has to offer to fans of the GTA series, I definitely think we will see something of value from Rockstar.
