PC Gaming is Not Dying. It is being Murdered by its Maker.
Disclaimer: I love my family members and helping them to understand computers
The only platform to beat the PC in years and years has been the Wii.
If you don’t fight the Xbox, then yes, PC gaming WILL die. This is only because sony will NEVER kill the PC, they don’t even sell many Vaios anymore. But the people who make the PC and own that particular market (MS and Windows branch) ARE killing the PC gaming world by
A: FORCING you to play with only the xbox controller until you like it
B: Opening it up to so-called “casual gamers” by giving dumb games and watering down YOUR gamer voice with idiots
C: Using that as a springboard and Opening up web 2.0 services like Facebook and selling the xbox at a loss. I am willing to bet 90 percent of the people you know would never use or spend money on a PC again if they find out how easy it is for them to become retarded on facebook and remain scared of google on a cheap console for the TV, their favorite place to judge people. The PC User is alone in a household of idiots who are invading his gaming world, and drowning him. Fact.
D: Bonus: “Bing isn’t a search engine! It’s the next gen of Search”. First of all, in my opinion, bing is f*cking daft. Secondly, what, does that claim make it “web 2.0″? Oh, so that’s your excuse for not putting a real browser on the console and giving social platforms like twitter, but not a web browser?
E: Being sold at a loss, and very inexpensively, offering all of the things our stupid family members can’t figure out without us, then get addicted to, I mean, come on, there are A LOT of people out their who would not have a PC if their family wasn’t addicted to myspace or facebook or twitter or a combination of these and things like ohMgee Netflix. CLOUDFlix is more like it and it’s f*cking evil, I WANT my movies motherbutthumpers >_<
F: They ALLOW piracy so they can say “THE PEOPLE CAN’T BE TRUSTED” and FORCE you onto the TV and OFF of the PC.
Read this with a grain of salt, but boycotting “Set top boxes” is the only way to make sure you can always AFFORD a “desk top box”. You will always be able to buy a PC, but you may not always be able to afford it. MS Points sound a bit more scary now, eh?
